I'm going to admit it right here, I didn't get my driver's license until I was almost 18! I had major driving test anixiety, a friend of mine failed her test twice! Also Connecticut laws make you get your learner's permit at 16 then if you do not take driver's ed you need to wait I believe it was 6 months, it's been a while, before you can take your driving exam. My parents were not about to shell out the money for someone else to teach me to drive when they could, I'm not complaining. Since all of my friends were getting their licenses I just bummed rides off them. Anyway one of my first memories of driving with my best friend was listening to this song.

Love that song! My parents shelled out for drivers ed because it decreased the car insurance. Otherwise, they would have probably agreed with your folks!
